A 33-year-old Bossier City man faces up to five years in prison following his conviction in Caddo District Court Tuesday on felony drug charges.

A six-person jury found JaKeith Landonra Francis guilty of charges that he attempted to possess a Schedule II drug, methamphetamine, and a Schedule III drug, acetaminophen with codeine phosphate. The verdict was unanimous.

Francis, who was arrested Feb. 12, 2015, in Caddo Parish was tried before Caddo District Judge Charles Tutt, with Section 5 Section Chief Janet Silvie as prosecutor, with assistance by Assistant District Attorney Kodie Smith.

Sentencing will take place Feb. 29.
