The Caddo Parish Grand Jury Wednesday, May 18, 2016, returned four true bills, three under seal due to the nature of the offenses.
The indictment for which details can be released is in connection with Jonathan Turk, 23, of Shreveport. He is charged with the March 9 beating death of his girlfriend’s 18-month-old son, after the child was brought to a local hospital with severe internal injuries. The child later died from his injuries.
The indictments under seal are for Chester Pace, 53, of Bossier City, charged with aggravated rape/first-degree rape of a victim under the age of 13; Xavier Morris, 19, of Shreveport, charged with first-degree rape; and Paul Lee Bedgood, 33, of Greenwood, charged with aggravated rape/first-degree rape of a victim under the age of 13.
All four men charged are incarcerated in Caddo Correctional Center.
Under Louisiana law, all of these offenses are punishable by life imprisonment at hard labor without benefit of parole, probation or suspension of sentence.
