A Shreveport man who faced trial on a trifecta of armed robbery, attempted armed robbery and felon with a firearm charges pleaded guilty in Caddo District Court Tuesday.

Nikko Lockett Webber, 28, (DOB 2-17-1988) admitted that while at a residence on Lardner Street in the Cedar Grove neighborhood on Dec. 6, 2015, he pulled a revolver on two people and ordered them to empty their pockets, stealing $30 from one of the victims.

Booked into Caddo Correctional Center the following day, Webber went on trial Monday in District Judge John D. Mosely Jr.’s courtroom. As jury selection resumed Tuesday, he offered to plead guilty to two of three charges in return for a 20-year sentence and dismissal of a third charge.

Webber pleaded guilty to one count of armed robbery and one count of felon in possession of a firearm. He was sentenced to 10 years at hard labor without benefit of parole, probation or suspension of sentence on the armed robbery charge and to 20 years at hard labor without benefit of parole, probation or suspension of sentence on the felon in possession of a firearm charge. The charges are to be served concurrently. The charge of attempted armed robbery was dismissed.

Webber was prosecuted by Caddo Parish assistant district attorneys Holly McGinness and Britney Green. He was defended by Mark Rogers.
