A man accused of committing several sexual acts involving juveniles was convicted Thursday, September 15, 2016, in Caddo District Court, and will spend at least the next 25 years behind bars.

Terry Matthew Pittman, 35, of Keithville, was convicted as charged of molestation of a juvenile under age 13, pornography involving juveniles and indecent behavior with juveniles. The charges stemmed from a 2014 case in which he was charged with having sex with a female relative for years as well as possessing child pornography.

Pittman’s trial began Monday, September 12, and ended Thursday evening when the jury found him guilty as charged on all counts after deliberation that lasted 45 minutes. Caddo District Judge Katherine C. Dorroh presided.

Formal sentencing will take place September 22. One of the charges carries a mandatory sentence of 25 to 99 years, where at least 25 years must be served without benefit of probation, parole or suspension of sentence.

Prosecutors were Treneisha Hill and Joshua Williams. Pittman was defended by Stephen Glassell.
