A Shreveport man pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of attempted aggravated rape Monday, September 19, 2016, in Caddo District Court.

Kenneth Ray Hampton, 60, will serve 25 years at hard labor without the benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence.  Formal sentencing will take place October 11, 2016, before Caddo District Judge Joe Bleich.

Hampton was arrested in March 2015, after the 9-year-old victim told her mother that Hampton had performed sexual acts on her. The child’s mother confronted Hampton and called police.  During questioning, Hampton confessed to the crimes.

Assistant District Attorney Britney A. Green prosecuted the case. Defense attorneys were Michelle Andrepont and Michael Enright.
