The Caddo Parish Grand Jury on Wednesday, January 18, 2017, returned an indictment charging a Shreveport man with second-degree murder in connection with a November shooting.
The indictment charges that on November 8, 2016, Sirdetrick L. Samuels, 19, shot and killed Tremon Jackson, a 16-year-old with whom he had argued, in the 3000 block of Boss Avenue.
Samuels, who remains in custody at Caddo Correctional Center under $500,000 bond, faces mandatory life in prison without probation, parole or reduction of sentence, if convicted.
