A Shreveport man faces at least a decade behind bars and up to 20 years at his March 1, 2017 sentencing following his conviction in Caddo District Court.
Dalando Willie Terrell Garner II, 26, was found guilty on a charge of being a convicted felon in possession of a weapon, Friday, Feb. 10, 2017, in District Judge Katherine Dorroh’s court.
Garner was arrested in May 2013 following a traffic stop, in which he was found to be in possession of a concealed semiautomatic handgun. He pleaded guilty to an aggravated battery charge, a felony, in November 2011.
The trial began Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017, and ended Friday, Feb. 10, 2017, after the eight-woman, four-man jury heard testimony from three witnesses.
Prosecutors were Joshua K. Williams and Jason Waltman. Garner was defended by Rickey Swift.
