A Shreveport man convicted last month in Caddo District Court on several sex charges involving youths was sentenced to 50 years in prison Friday, March 3, 2017.
Steven Darnell Robinson, 52, must serve the first 25 years of his sentence without benefit of probation, parole or suspension of sentence, he was informed in Caddo District Judge Katherine Dorroh’s courtroom.
That term was for molestation of a juvenile under age 13, one charge for which he was found guilty by a Caddo Jury February 7, 2017, in the same courtroom before the same judge.
In addition, Robinson was sentenced to seven years in prison for his conviction that same day of molesting a second juvenile under the age 17 but older than 13.
Judge Dorroh ordered the two sentences to run consecutively.
Assistant District Attorney Treneisha Hill and Section 1 Chief Jason Waltman prosecuted the case. David McClatchey represented Robinson at trial and at sentencing.
