A woman facing felony theft charges pleaded guilty as charged in Caddo District Court Wednesday, March 22, 2017, just as the state was calling its final witness to the stand.
Patricia L. Sutton, 63, was charged with theft of more than $100,000 between 2008 and 2009, while she worked as the bookkeeper and office manager for CRJ Enterprises.
Prosecutors were Caddo Parish Assistant District Attorneys Mekisha Smith Creal and Senae D. Hall. Sutton was defended by Robert Thompson III.
Sutton, who returns to District Judge Brady D. O’Callaghan’s courtroom June 19, 2017 to learn her fate, faces a sentence of up to 10 years in prison and/or a fine of up to $3,000. She has no prior criminal convictions.
