The Caddo Parish Grand Jury returned a number of true bills Tuesday, September 19, 2017, most in connection with sex crimes. One indictment was for second-degree murder.

The indictments for sex crimes were issued under seal, due to the nature of the charges. The accused all were incarcerated at Caddo Correctional Center late September 19.

Charged with first-degree rape and second-degree kidnapping are Michael Lawrence Tyler, 46, of Prairieville, and Averweone Darnell Holman, 26, of Shreveport. Charged with obstruction of justice in connection with those two crimes, with her case also under seal, is Tenichia Monieck Wafford, 42, of Harker Heights, Texas. Bond for Tyler and Holman was set at $3 million each, with Wafford’s bond set at $500,000.

Lloyd Wright, 73, of Greenwood, was charged with the aggravated rape of a victim under the age of 13, while Roy Charles Powell, 58, of Shreveport, faces three charges of aggravated rape of a victim under the age of 13. Their indictments also are under seal. Wright’s bond was set at $725,000, while Powell’s bond currently is set at $975,000.

The Grand Jury also returned a second-degree murder indictment against Demarcus Dejuan Bradley, 27, of Waskom, Texas. He was arrested in late July in connection with the July 27, 2017, gunshot slaying of Markzaulous Lewis, 25, whose remains were found inside a residence in the 3100 block of Catherine Street in central Shreveport.
