A man convicted in July in Caddo District Court of a sex crime against a minor was sentenced in that same court Wednesday, September 27, 2017, for his crime.
Justin Alexander Manson, 26, must serve 22 years in prison at hard labor, with at least two years of the sentence to be served without the benefit of probation, parole or suspension of sentence. Upon his release from jail he will be required to register as a sex offender.
Manson was found guilty of indecent behavior with a juvenile under 13, after a trial before District Judge Brady D. O’Callaghan. Manson was accused of committing sexual acts upon a 12-year-old victim over a two-month period. He has prior felony convictions for carnal knowledge of a juvenile in 2010 and failure to register as a sex offender in 2011.
Caddo Parish assistant district attorneys Mekisha Smith Creal and Senae D. Hall were prosecutors. Manson was defended by Mary Harried.
