A Shreveport man was found guilty of a firearms-related charge in a bench trial before a Caddo Parish District Court judge Wednesday, October 18, 2017.
Margene Jamar Davis, 45, was determined to be guilty of attempted possession of a firearm by a convicted felon after proceedings before Caddo District Judge Ramona Emanuel.
Davis has prior convictions for marijuana and gun possession. He could receive up to 7-1/2 years in prison at hard labor when he is sentenced October 30.
Prosecutors were assistant district attorneys Aaron Crawford and William Gaskins. Davis was defended by Edward Mouton.
