The Caddo Parish District Attorney’s office will prosecute the older of two juveniles accused in the robbery and slaying of a Domino’s Pizza delivery driver earlier this month as an adult.
Jae’lyon Ware, 16, is one of two individuals arrested in connection with the robbery and slaying of Domino’s Pizza delivery driver Lester McGee.  McGee was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds shortly before midnight November 3, 2018, near a white SUV in the 700 block of West 68th Street in Cedar Grove. He died minutes after midnight, before he could be transported to the hospital.

During an appearance before Caddo Parish Juvenile Court Judge Ree J. Casey-Jones Wednesday, November 21, 2018, the court found probable cause for second-degree murder and ordered Ware to be transferred to District Court for prosecution; however the case must be presented to the Caddo Parish Grand Jury for an indictment as soon as the Shreveport Police Department completes its investigation.

A second juvenile arrested in connection with the slaying, Anthony Mandigo, 13, whose name was previously released during a period in which he was sought by authorities, by law has to be tried in juvenile court. Mandigo surrendered to Shreveport Police Monday, November 19, 2018.

Mandigo appeared Monday, November 26, 2018, before Caddo Parish Juvenile Judge Paul Young, who found probable cause to hold him in the Caddo Parish juvenile detention center pending trial for the second-degree murder of Mr. McGee. A trial date of January 14, 2019, has been set.
