The Caddo Parish Grand Jury returned four true bills Tuesday, October 22, 2019, charging two men with sex crimes and charging another man and a woman with separate murders.
Shameka Dollzetta Ellis, 21, of Shreveport, is charged with second-degree murder in connection with the July 16, 2019, slaying of Lou’Quandelyn Hargrove, 21, a Minden woman who was crushed by an automobile. The incident occurred in the 3600 block of Southern Avenue, at Dudley Drive.
Ronald Berry Parker, 65, of Shreveport, is charged with second-degree murder in connection with the July 20, 2019, slaying of Roderick J. Gaut. Gaut, 40, of Shreveport, was mortally wounded by gunshot in the 1200 block of East Washington Street in Shreveport’s Anderson Island neighborhood following a dispute.
Ellis and Parker both face sentences of life in prison at hard labor if convicted.
Frederick Charles Preston Jr., 31, of Shreveport, is charged with two counts of first-degree rape, molestation of a juvenile and indecent behavior with a juvenile.
Glenn Miller, 64, of Keatchie, is charged with two counts of aggravated rape.
Dues to the nature of the charges they face, the indictments against Preston and Miller were filed under seal.
All four persons charged are in custody at Caddo Correctional Center.
