A major addition to the arsenal available to the community in the fight against domestic violence will be announced today, February 10, 2026, at the luncheon of the North Shreveport Business Association, 11:30 a.m. at the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Re-Entry Facility, 1121 Forum Drive.

The North Shreveport Business Association, Shreveport Police Chief Wayne Smith, Caddo Parish Clerk of Court Mike Spence, Caddo Parish District Attorney James E. Stewart Sr. and Caddo Parish Sheriff Henry Whitehorn will announce a new Domestic Violence Center that will be at the new Shreveport Police Substation on North Market Street, opening soon. The new center will allow victims of domestic violence to digitally secure, file and sign protective orders, and also will be a site where information and assistance is available regarding domestic violence.

The event will be an opportunity for association members, the attending public and media to seek information regarding the new center as well as domestic violence.
