The Caddo Parish District Attorney’s office is conducting its 6th Annual Purple Box Project, a community initiative to provide essential supplies and comfort to survivors of domestic violence and their families.

The project invites individuals, businesses, churches, and community organizations to fill boxes or bins with everyday necessities to make differences for families facing difficult circumstances.

Suggested donations include personal hygiene products, socks, underwear, diapers, baby wipes and other basic necessities. Participants may use a purple box, decorate a box or simply use any available box or bin. Decoration is optional.

Donated items will be distributed to domestic violence survivors and their families through community partners, including Providence House, Project Celebration, and the Northwest Louisiana Family Justice Center.

The Purple Box Project ends November 16, 2026.

Filled boxes and donated items may be delivered to the Caddo Parish District Attorney’s office at 525 Marshall St., Shreveport, Louisiana, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. The DA’s office also will pick up boxes as needed.

For more information or to arrange a pickup, contact Britney A. Green at (318) 588-0084.
