Caddo Grand Jury returns one true bill

The Caddo Parish Grand Jury returned a single indictment for a summer homicide in its session that ended Thursday, September 17, 2026. 


Kenneth R. Harp, 17, of Shreveport, stands charged with second-degree murder in connection with the Sunday, July 19, 2026 slaying of Antonio James. Mr. James, 21, was shot while part of a large gathering of people at Hattie Perry Park on Ledbetter Street in the Caddo Heights neighborhood. He was Shreveport's and Caddo Parish's 26th homicide of the year. 


Harp remains in custody at Caddo Correctional Center, under a bond set at $750,000.
